Airlane Pneumatics - Newly designed applications. Hose Assembly Machine

Working closely with local automation company Dynamic Automation we've recently supplied a complete pneumatic solution to control a bespoke assembly machine designed and manufactured by Dynamic Automation.  Airlane designed the control system, specified the pneumatic components and manufactured a complete control panel ready to fix to the machine.

Silo Material Level Sensing

Our customer has several 10m high external silos in which product is stored before being transported to their production process.  To check how much product was left in each silo someone had to climb to the top of the silo and drop in a weighted tape measure.  The obvious health & safety concerns and general inconvenience of the operation gave Airlane the opportunity to offer a solution. 

Using IFM Electronic Laser Photoelectric sensors we were able to offer a continuous, highly accurate, indication of product level in each silo fed directly to an indicator panel at ground level. 

Mounted to the top of the silo via a bespoke mounting bracket the laser sensor beam is accurately set perpendicular to the product.  A feed is taken back to a remote indicator panel giving constant depth measurements.  The unit can be programmed to give alarm condition warnings if the depth becomes too great, indicating an empty silo.

 The Laser units are highly competitively priced and, coupled with the accuracy and time saving element, have allowed our customer to purchase replacement product more effectively and reduce production stoppages to a minimum.

Vacuum/Aerosol Test Chamber.

Airlane were asked to supply a solution to an existing process issue where vegetable oil aerosol spray was contaminating test procedures and the surrounding environment.

We designed, manufactured & installed an enclosure and control panel featuring a product clamp arrangement fitted to an Origa rodless cylinder, full pneumatic control of both the clamp and vacuum system including emergency stop & reset circuit, aerosol evacuation and provided on-site training.

The enclosure will help remove the 'False Fail' issues from contaminated tests and secure future business from overseas customers for our client.

Origa pneumatics and Vuototechnica vacuum products were used throughout the project.
